The game is a reworking of the original Dragon Age Legends, and it offers a different gameplay experience by giving you the chance to take on the role of Viscount Ravi. He must battle hordes of Darkspawn and learn more about his back story as he progresses. The game is played from a first person perspective, and the player can choose between the character classes of warrior, rogue or mage to control.

The Facebook and Google+ version of the Dragon Age Legends social RPG has been made available as a single-player game offline. BioWare made the move after it was reported that the online game wasn't bringing in enough money. Players will be able to import their characters into the offline game from their Facebook or Google+ accounts. The offline game requires Adobe Air to play. Players can choose to either play alone or with up to three other friends.
